Group Financial Controller London (Hybrid 3 days in, 2 days remote) 90,000 – 100,000, bonus, 25 days hol, healthcare, enhanced pension PE Backed LogisticsZachary Daniels are partnering with leading a European logistics group to appoint a new Group Financial Controller. Backed by a globally renowned private equity firm, the company is positioned for significant growth, with operations spanning the UK and Europe.With a focus on delivering exceptional service and driving innovation, the group is entering an exciting phase of development. Recent investment is supporting ambitious plans for expansion, creating opportunities to grow its footprint in existing markets and explore new territories. This is a chance to play a key role in the finance function of a fast–paced, high–growth organisation.This is a critical role with high visibility across the organisation. You'll work closely with the Group Finance Director and CFO to lead on all aspects of financial reporting, compliance and consolidation across multiple European entities.Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of the group finance functionLead the year–end close process and manage the relationship with external auditorsDeliver accurate and timely group–level reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) under IFRSOversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements across the groupEnsure tax, legal and financial regulatory compliance across jurisdictionsOwn and evolve internal controls and the group's risk and control matrixDevelop and implement group accounting policies and control frameworksSupport group restructures and lead on all aspects of acquisition accountingManage intercompany reconciliations and eliminationsLead, develop and mentor the group reporting teamStay ahead of IFRS changes and manage implementationsPromote best practice and continuous improvement across finance functionsTravel to European cluster offices as required (no more than once per month)What We're Looking For:ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with significant post–qualified experienceProven experience in a Financial Controller role within a leveraged/PE–backed environmentStrong technical accounting expertise, particularly around IFRS and consolidationsEffective leader and collaborator, able to work cross–functionally and internationallyExcellent communication skills – confident with senior stakeholders and external partnersExperience in manufacturing, FMCG, food or supply chain is beneficial but not essentialA proactive mindset, high integrity, and a strong drive for excellenceZachary Daniels and our client are both equal opportunity employers.
