Our client located in the Heathrow area is looking for a Traffic Planner Salary GBP30k dependant on age/experienceThis role is Monday to Friday 0830 -1800 approx., however whilst getting familiarized with the role you will need to be available evenings and weekends as backupOut line of the Role:The main goal of the Planner is optimizing asset utilization, load factor and minimizing route cost while keeping customer performance high and stable for own assets.Working as part of a team with close communication between drivers and other team members.Qualifications:At least 3 years of experience in the field of logisticsKnowledge of customs proceduresKnowledge of and interest in automated planning systemsKnowledge of logistics and planning principlesKnowledge of drivers hours and transport legislationBasic knowledge of cost price calculationsAble to express in English Duties:Planning of the movement of aircraft engines, related components and exceptional cargo on a 24/7, 365 basis.Interfacing with blue chip client and business professionals on a daily base.Is responsible for planned on-time performanceIs responsible for empty running and load factorIs responsible for the planned route cost, concerning toll and kilometres within his regionIs responsible for providing service with a range of specialised vehiclesSteers on truck productivityEnsuring the smooth and calm running of a very busy teamTakes care of optimizing the load factor while minimizing empty runningTakes care of minimizing the planned route cost by optimizing the planned routePlan's fuelling in a trip based on fleet planners' requestsActive communication with colleagues across the EU, freight planning, expedition, customer service, truck planners and fleet service
