Maternity Leave Cover for PA/Carer to Female Wheelchair-User
Central London, London WC2N 5DU, UK
Are you a female who likes supporting/assisting others, has a good sense of humour, is flexible but organised too? I'm a female wheelchair-user who employs my PAs and I'm currently looking to hire someone for two days per week to cover a year’s Maternity Leave (possibly leading to something being more permanent). The days are Sundays and Thursdays. Each shift is for 24 hours (sleeping nights) and runs from 11am - 11am the following day. The person must also be committed to being able to provide some occasional cover on other days to cover emergencies and when colleagues are on Annual Leave. Experience isn’t essential but a real desire to do the job is important. The pay for every shift is £332.40 (£13.85 per hour). Salaries are paid monthly, at the end of each month. Some medical information about me: I'm short. I have brittle bones which means I have to be handled with care. A sliding board and sheet is used for my transfers. Although I am a wheelchair-user, I am finding I spend more time sitting on my bed. Therefore nearly all my personal care takes place on the bed. The high level of personal care involved is why I prefer just females to apply.Personal information: My friends and family are extremely important to me. I am very sociable but enjoy my own space too. I am independent minded and know how I like to live my life and want my home to be (a neat and tidy flat). My interests are: Watching sport, especially football and tennis; films, comedy, music, politics, good conversation, reading, crochet, my plants and playing about on my iPad.I’m not good in the mornings but am a night-owl! I dislike: Reality tv and Techno music. I love: the first cup of tea of the day and watching my football team Spurs beat the Arsenal!I will also accept applications from people who might be willing to be available just for cover but it’s important I fill the above vacancy as soon as possible.TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION AND RECEIVE A FULL JOB DESCRIPTION, THEN PLEASE:Provide an up-to-date CV (no photos necessary). Have a high standard of English. Please say why you feel you want to work for me. Confirm you have a National Insurance number and have had a DBS (police check) within the past 12 months.
